Work Redesign
A design team’s challenge is to invent a system which will improve customers’ work in ways they care about. Work redesign uses the consolidated data to drive conversations about how to improve work using technology creating a redesigned or efficient or workable human-technical system. Marry business process redesign to Contextual Design to re-invent them both together. The vision captures the redesigned work practice as a high-level story of how customers will do their work in the newly invented world. Storyboards, work out the detail of the vision producing freeze-frame pictures of the new process that can be shared with users and stakeholders alike.
