An ongoing stream of news reports heralds the dearth of women and minorities in technology; these stories are supported by numerous studies from industry and government sources. Now companies are investing resources to “fill the pipeline.” While this is needed, it alone won’t solve the diversity or gender challenge.
Karen will be moderating a panel of HCI professionals from different backgrounds discussing the issue. The panel will share personal insights, react to the research on challenges, suggest solutions, and solicit perspectives from the audience. See the CHI schedule for more information and check out the video preview on YouTube.
